Beschrijving

The purpose of the Hague Conference is to work for the progressive unification of the rules of private international law. Its main mode of activity to achieve this purpose is the adoption of multilateral treaties or conventions in various fileds of private international law family law, law of succession, commercial law and civil procedure. This book is a collection of conventions adopted by the Hague Conference since the Second World War. The first ten conventions are drawn up in French only, but the remainder have been drawn up in French and English. In these instances, the texts of the conventions are set out in both languages on facing pages of the book. The date of signature indicated for each Convention is that on which it was first signed by one or more States. The status of signatures, ratifications and accessions is not included in this Collection, since it is subject to frequent changes. A table of signatures, ratifications and accessions may be obtained 4 times a year by way of subscription.
