Over het boekSchool segregation is perceived as an unyielding problem worldwide, which ismanifest along both ethnic and socio-economic lines. With this edited volumewe aim to share information about school segregation and policies focusedon countering school segregation from an international perspective. Manycountries develop policies to prevent and counter school segregation in orderto provide equal opportunities for all children and to contribute to citizenshipin multicultural societies. The aim of the book is to present the state of theart regarding research on socio-ethnic school segregation across the us and anumber of European countries, and to share good practices.This book is the initiative of the Dutch National Knowledge Centre for MixedSchools which aims at promoting the dissemination of knowledge and goodpractices regarding desegregation and integration in education.
