Beschrijving
Risk management and corporate governance focuses on the interesting challenges that lawmakers, policymakers and companies face relating to the risk management environment. This book presents the results of an analysis and comparison of US, EU and several member states regulations relating to the boards, senior managements and supervisory boards or non-executive directors roles and responsibilities regarding risks, risk management and the disclosure of information thereof from a historical perspective up to the status quo. The book reveals the mismatch between information demand and supply with regard to the disclosure of information on risks in annual reports and uses empirical analysis and statistical tests supporting this thesis. Aiming to offer guidance, nbsp;the booknbsp;establishes that a readily comparable standardised format to disclose information on risks would be useful. It also contains the building stones that such a format should hold.Marijn van Daelen worked at Tilburg University Faculty of Law Netherlands as a lecturer and research fellow for 5 years. She co-edited a book and wrote several legal and law amp; economics articles on risk management. Currently she works at Deloitte Risk Services on governance, risk management and compliance assignments in various industries.
